Day 8 – Getting back to posting after a LONG weekend

So far I have found that the most difficult thing for me to do with my current weight loss journey is to keep this blog updated.

This long weekend there was a holiday,  my in-laws came to town and my step-father retired.  To say there was a lot going on would be an understatement.

Well, with family in town and  a party at my mothers house I did not do very well with my diet.  I didn’t binge and I still haven’t had a drink, but I certainly ate more than I should have.  I did stick to my exercise plant, but I didn’t journal it in any way, so all I can say is I DID exercise, but it must be unremarkable because I cant recall most of what I did!

TODAY was the first day of getting back to normal.  I had to be to Disney World by 8:30 am for work, so I woke up at 6:00 AM and went for a 1.5 mile run.


While my pace is about 7% faster than the last time I posted my distance/time/pace stats, it certainly didn’t feel like it to start.  Starting that early in the morning the first few 1:00 intervals my feet felt very heavy and I could not get a good pace going.  About 1/2 mile into it I started to feel good and my pace picked up quite a bit.  By the end of the run, I was feeling good and felt VERY MUCH awake.

My diet for the day was pretty typical, nothing to brag about and nothing to be upset about!

It is my goal to post to this blog at least 6 times a week, and as long as I find a routine, I don’t think that should be too difficult!
